Flegg High Ormiston Academy students collect GCSE results
Students at Flegg High Ormiston Academy, part of Ormiston Academies Trust, are collecting their hard-earned GCSE results today.
The academy has shared pride in the students’ hard work over the past two years, with some individual standout achievements including:
- Grace Prescott successfully achieved a grade 9 in English, with six grade 8s including mathematics, chemistry and physics, two grade 7s and a grade 6. Earlier in the year, Grace won a prestigious scholarship to Oundle School and will go on to study A Levels there. Grace hopes to fulfil her lifelong ambition of working in the armed forces.
- James Johnston achieved a grade 9 in English with four grade 8s including mathematics, computer science, history and drama. James, who is a talented actor achieved a further four grade 7s and a grade 6, James plans on studying for his A Levels at East Norfolk Sixth Form.
- Jakob Brookes achieved five grade 8s in mathematics, computer science, chemistry, physics and geography. Alongside his other grades, Jakob has a bright future ahead of him, studying for A Levels at Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form.
- Ruby Alexander achieved a grade 8 in mathematics and biology alongside seven grade 7s and a grade 6. As Head Prefect, Ruby has been heavily involved in student leadership work within the academy and significant fundraising events over the course of the year. Ruby will go on to study A Levels at East Norfolk Sixth Form College.

“It was great to celebrate with our students today. They have worked very hard over the last two years, and I am proud to see some good individual achievements. We look forward to hearing all about their next steps.”
