History offers Flegg students the chance to study change and continuity within society and individuals. This will allow students insights into the reasons for change, continuity, and issues such tolerance and conflict and, therefore give them a better understanding of the world around them.
We have developed a curriculum to allow students to meet their aspirations by encouraging development of a life-long love of independent learning and giving them a sense of their place both within time and geographically. In so doing, we hope to allow students the knowledge and cultural capital to engender a thoughtful, respectful, kind and open- minded attitude to cultures, beliefs and ideas within both the local, wider and global community.
