GCSE success celebrated at Flegg High Ormiston Academy
Students and staff at Flegg High Ormiston Academy are celebrating another fantastic set of GCSE results this year.
After two years of dedication and hard work, our Year 11 students were thrilled to receive their well-deserved results. These achievements not only highlight individual success but also reflect the growing momentum across our school, where ambition, aspiration, and strong values continue to shape bright futures for every student.
The whole school community has joined together to mark the achievements, commitment, and resilience of our students as they now look forward to the next stage of their education.
Individual highlights include:
- Isla Gowing, Head Girl – achieved seven grade 8s and two grade 7s. Isla will now study maths, economics and physics at East Norfolk Sixth Form College. Alongside her academic achievements, she has shown an impressive commitment to sport, representing both the academy and external football teams.
- Millie-Marie Nicol – secured a grade 9, four grade 8s, two grade 7s and a Distinction. Millie-Marie received particular recognition for her stunning final art piece and will continue her studies at East Norfolk Sixth Form College, focusing on maths, fine art and physics.
- Reuben Achenbach – achieved a grade 9 in drama, a grade 7 in music and an overall average above grade 6. Reuben will be moving on to Thomas Paine Sixth Form in Thetford to pursue music.
This year’s results come at an exciting time of growth and transformation for the academy. Working in partnership with Ormiston Venture Academy under a united leadership team, Flegg High is driving forward a bold vision to deliver world-class teaching, a culture of excellence, and outstanding opportunities for all students.
